Spring is back, and so is our distinctive pontoon cruise for those looking to buy a house on Lake Martin. The next one is May 7 at 2 p.m., starting at 2332 Cedar Creek Road in Alexander City. This is one of the houses I have listed.
Why shop from the boat?
The "front" of the house to those living on the lake is the lake side. Driving to the house is not the way most people will view the house. So it's important for house shoppers to see the house as most others will see it.
Additionally, lake living is about being outdoors and being in nature. So important prospective lake house features need to be checked out first, such as the boat house or pier, or the outside courtyards and grills. Get a sense of what it will be like to live in the house by seeing what it has to offer for outside enjoyment.
